Technology leadership reflects on a grounded leader, who maintains specific leadership qualities. As a tech leader, I will be someone who is well respected, well liked, and is positively trying to make a difference in education within the tech field. I will create a purpose for my leadership, build a strong relationship with students and teachers, and reach out to the community to promote a positive outlook on technology; which in return will increase confidence.
The purpose of a tech leader revolves around what I can and will bring to the education field, and how it will eventually benefit the school, it’s staff, and the students. This purpose comes with the need of supporting all staff with learning new technology, helping with technology, and creating a stronger relation with all at the school as a leader of tech. My purpose will be known, and anyone should and hopefully will feel comfortable to seek guidance and follow my lead.
Students and teachers will seek guidance, help, and look up to me as a tech leader. I will be there for them when needed, and will continue to grow my relationship with all, so that I can be someone who is looked to for help, and someone that can reach out to build a more confident campus. Confidence is an important aspect of leadership, both observed and hoping to teach others. I will encourage and inspire students and teachers to try new technology, attend professional development, and to promote what they are learning. I want to create positive learners and teachers, that succeed and excel in education, with the help of technology on a daily basis.
As a tech leader, I will strive to make myself known, not only to my students and staff, but also to the community outside. I will reach out to parents and families to create a peace of mind with technology. These relationships will ensure a positive outcome and allow me to consistently update all on any new changes, upcoming tech announcements, and future trainings. These trainings can be as simple as Google Docs, to any DnA student info/data driven site that will also create more confidence for students, staff, and families.
Being a tech leader is an important role and one that I plan to triumph in. As the tech leader, I am aware that it not about me, but instead about me helping others, educating our future with the future, and creating positive learners and teachers. With a purpose, relationships, and reaching out, I will try to maintain positive, progressive, and constructive goals, and eventually reach them.
